Our Story

Owen Day - Company Director

Owen was brought up by his late eco-architect father Professor Christopher Day OBE. He traveled as his father’s assistant to international projects from a young age. He obtained a HND and then a BSc in Architectural Design and Technology during 2010-2013.

Over the course of 10 years, he has worked for some of the best architectural firms in the UK. Many are in the top 100 RIBA companies to work for, one was also in the top 3 highest. 

After 5 years he became a Senior Architectural technologist and remained the project lead. 

Given his exposure to all industries including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Military, Landscaping & Listed Buildings, Owen has a vast array of abilities and knowledge.

He then progressed to be fully self-employed before setting up Design & Building Services Ltd.

Owen is well versed in how each element of a building is put together given his architectural detailed design stage experience. From design phase to the meticulous craftmanship of bringing a design to fruition.  

He has completed a Prince2 Project management course as well as a PMQ in project management.

Given the role of design team lead on the majority of his architectural projects, site management comes as second nature. 

Full property renovation experience 

He fully renovated his first four-bedroom Victorian property in 2013. He managed this as a BTL for a few years, then fully renovated a 60’s property. His most recent property renovated is a Victorian five-bedroom four-bathroom property in Cheltenham.

Given his passion for the building industry, be it a small job or co-ordinating a large project, Owen will fully immerse himself into the given task to ensure it is completed to the client’s preferences.
